Personnel policy at Bethesda Hospital

Our personnel policy is based on the mission statement of Bethesda Spital AG. It aims to make a decisive contribution to achieving the company's goals, is orientated towards the values of Bethesda Spital AG and is aimed at all managers. Employees are committed to contributing their knowledge, skills and competences and are therefore responsible for the success of Bethesda Spital AG.

The personnel policy defines the working conditions and relationships so that the performance mandate can be fulfilled, profitability and competitiveness are guaranteed and the personal development of employees can be realised.

Basic principle

Our defined values are appreciation, courage to develop, success-orientation, authenticity, taking responsibility and honesty. The values describe our behaviour towards our employees - as well as towards our stakeholders.

Implementation and accountability

First and foremost our managers, but also all individual employees, exemplify these values, act accordingly and see themselves as role models for others.

Basic principle

The physical and mental well-being of employees and occupational safety are prioritised within the corporate framework. The focus is on fitness for work and prevention.

Implementation

We sensitise our employees with regard to their own responsibility for maintaining and promoting their health. We contribute to this and support safety awareness and behaviour to prevent accidents. We take appropriate measures to protect against work-related illnesses and accidents and to protect pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

Responsibility

Bethesda Spital AG takes precautions and measures, issues instructions and monitors compliance with them. Our employees are involved, follow the instructions and draw attention to existing hazards.

The hospital management bears overall responsibility.

Principle

We are a company run on the basis of fundamental Christian values and business principles. It is a place of humanity and holistic care. As a non-profit organisation, social commitment is important to us. We consciously and actively realise this within the scope of our economic possibilities.

Realisation

We treat all employees equally and fulfil our social responsibility. Where possible and appropriate, we provide integration measures for employees with labour market disadvantages. We prioritise internal employees over external ones.

Responsibility

The fundamental Christian values enshrined in our mission statement define the nature of our responsibility.

Principle

We support our employees in the development of professional, methodological, personal, social and self-competence. The focus is on achieving the company's goals. We expect our employees to be prepared to meet the demands of their current or future tasks through continuous training and development - both professionally and personally.

Realisation

We promote our employees and endeavour to fill our management and key positions internally through appropriate junior staff planning. The need for personnel development is determined by the line manager and the employee and is based on the strategy and the task to be fulfilled.

Responsibility

In principle, employees are responsible for their own development. Their own initiative is the driving force. Training measures are evaluated together with line managers and implemented if necessary. Bethesda Spital AG regulates the cost sharing for training and further education measures in accordance with the information in the personnel regulations and the further education agreements.

Principle

We empower employees with management responsibility to adopt a participative management style within the framework of our values, our mission statement and our management principles and demand that they do so.

Realisation

The implementation of our management tasks is based on the principles developed by Bethesda Spital AG - quality, humanity and success. They are also implemented by means of target agreements and target reviews.

Responsibility

The managers conduct qualification, promotion and development meetings with all employees. Management responsibility lies exclusively with line managers and cannot be delegated.

The Human Resources department supports the line managers in personnel management and assists them in its implementation.

Basic principle

Remuneration is based on function, performance, experience and the economic possibilities of Bethesda Spital AG. Equal pay is paid for work of equal value regardless of gender and origin.

Implementation / responsibility
