The hand surgery department at Bethesda Hospital offers the entire spectrum of treatments for the hand and forearm. Patients benefit from holistic, competent care based on many years of experience and the latest scientific findings.

The treating team consists of affiliated doctors from Bethesda Hospital. The hand surgery team offers comprehensive treatment and cooperates with specialists at Bethesda Hospital on an interdisciplinary basis.

Our hand surgery services include the following therapies and procedures:

  • Treatment of degenerative and (acute) inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system of the forearm (especially the hand and wrist), including prosthetic treatment
  • Acute and delayed treatment after injuries to the hand, wrist and forearm, especially after nerve transections in the extremities and trunk
  • Treatment of infections such as panaritises etc.
  • Diagnostic and interventional wrist arthroscopy
  • Reconstructive procedures following illnesses and injuries
  • Treatment of nerve compression syndromes on the upper and lower extremities and trunk

Die Physiotherapie ist zentraler Teil unseres Fokusbereichs «Bewegungsapparat» und gehört zu den Schlüsselqualifikationen des Bethesda Spitals. Die vom Universitätsspital geführte Orthopädie Klinik am Bethesda Spital betreut neben dem Hauptstandort einen zweiten Standort am Bethesda Spital. Hier erhalten orthopädische Patientinnen und Patienten Zugang zu universitärer Medizin in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Bethesda Spital.

Wo nötig werden Therapiestrategien, rehabilitative Strategien und präventive Strategien gemeinsam mit den Spezialisten verschiedener medizinischer und paramedizinischer Fachrichtungen beurteilt und gegebenenfalls neu aufgegleist.
