The long-established and highly experienced Basel Bethesda Hospital Breast Centre (with over 15 years of experience) has recently been successfully awarded the quality certificate of the Swiss Cancer League and the Swiss Society of Senology for the second time.

Quality certificate awarded with maximum points
To obtain the label of the Swiss Cancer League and the Swiss Society of Senology, a breast centre must fulfil a large number of quality criteria.
The team at the Basel Bethesda Hospital Breast Centre achieved the maximum number of points in all areas out of a total of 59 quality criteria assessed, thus fulfilling 100% of the criteria. The assessment included areas such as surgical gynaecology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, diagnostics, pathology, radiotherapy, oncology and scientific studies. The topics of patient safety, quality management and regular training and further education were also analysed.
