Successful SIWF re-certification of the Rheumatology Clinic

The Rheumatology Clinic is pleased to announce that, following a successful audit by the Swiss Institute for Continuing Medical Education and Training (SIWF), it has been re-certified as a training centre for rheumatology and internal medicine.

In April, the clinic was inspected by the SIWF for recertification as a training centre for rheumatology and internal medicine. After careful examination by the further training committee, the clinic has now received the definitive report and recertification as a Category B for rheumatology and Category D for internal medicine. The results of the examination emphasise the commitment and outstanding work of our team.

Particularly emphasised were:

  • A good working atmosphere and close supervision by experienced senior physicians.
  • The great commitment of the head of further training and his deputy to the further training of junior doctors.
  • A broad spectrum of rheumatological diseases as well as a wide range of degenerative and inflammatory rheumatology and pain medicine.
  • Direct teaching with an excellent ratio of trainers to trainees (almost 1:1).
  • Good links to the entire hospital, including other specialised musculoskeletal disciplines, comprehensive clarification and therapy options.
  • Supervision by highly experienced specialists with a broad spectrum of expertise.
  • A genuine interest on the part of the clinic in the further training of junior doctors, which strengthens the learning culture.
  • The possibility of being categorised as a Category A training centre.

The clinic is honoured to receive this recognition for its outstanding training work and remains committed to creating excellent training conditions for future specialists.

«A big thank you to all employees for their valued contribution to this great success.»

Stephan Gadola, Head Physician Clinic Rheumatology & Pain Medicine
