For the fourth time in a row, Bethesda Hospital appears in the ranking of the American news magazine "Newsweek" among the "World's Best Hospitals" - and again in two categories.
Having already been recognised as one of the world's best hospitals in the past three years, Bethesda Hospital is delighted to have been recognised again for 2024. The assessment is based on evaluations of patient surveys, quality measurements and interviews with nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals.
«Being among the world's best hospitals four times in a row makes us proud. Our thanks go to our employees and attending physicians, without whom such a result would not be possible.»
For the third year, Newsweek and Statista have compiled a list of hospitals that make the best use of the most advanced technologies. The World's Best Smart Hospitals 2024 lists the 330 facilities in 28 countries that excel in the use of electronic functionalities, telemedicine, digital imaging, artificial intelligence and robotics.
Smart Hospitals utilise cutting-edge technology to fundamentally rethink care within the healthcare system. The latest virtual care and digital imaging technology, AI-driven decision support and robotics, all connected within the hospital network, are being used to redefine the way information is shared. Utilising these new technologies not only improves treatment outcomes and efficiency within the hospital, but makes hospitals a member of a broader ecosystem to advance healthcare goals in the areas of prevention, population health and quality of life.
We are extremely pleased to be ranked in the "World's Best Smart Hospitals 2024" category:
The ranking of the world's best specialised hospitals in 2024 includes the best 300 hospitals for cardiology and oncology, the best 250 for paediatrics, the best 150 in the individualdiatrics, the best 150 in the individual specialities of cardiac surgery, endocrinology and gastroenterology, as well as the best 125 each for neurology, neurosurgery and orthopaedics, pneumology and urology, and the top 100 for obstetrics and gynaecology.
Our "Spinal Surgery" was honoured in the "Neurosurgery" category. We are very proud of this and are delighted with the following ranking:
