Birth & puerperium

The birth of your child is an extraordinary moment in your life. An event for which only the best environment is good enough: first-class medical care, experienced midwives, dedicated nursing staff and a service that leaves nothing to be desired.

What can I expect in the puerperium?

You probably have lots of questions about how your stay with us with your baby will go. Don't worry: we have listed all the topics you can expect and compiled our most informative blog posts on some of them.

Daily routine in the puerperium

With a newborn, there is no regular day-night rhythm - your child decides when it is time to sleep and when it is time to wake up. It is important to us to customise the daily routine to this rhythm.

If you would like to go outside with your baby, we will be happy to provide you with a pram or a baby sling for your first trip to the park.

An average day goes something like this:

  • In the morning, the carer who is responsible for you will discuss the daily routine with you. We will also carry out nursing checks on you and your child in the morning.
  • At around 2.45 p.m. there will be a short handover report with you in your room, during which you will get to know your carer from the late-night service.
  • Your partner and siblings may stay with you and your baby all day until 10.00 pm.
  • You should vacate the room by 11.00 a.m. at the latest on the day of discharge.
