Our terms of employment

All employees in the non-medical area of Bethesda Spital AG work an average of 42 hours per week with an employment level of 100%. Medical staff work 42 or 50 hours per week.

If an employee needs to have more free time or to better reconcile their current professional and private life, we offer flexible working time models for all hierarchical positions, depending on their function.

Holiday entitlement
Our employees benefit from an above-legal holiday entitlement. The annual holiday entitlement at Bethesda Spital AG is five or six weeks, depending on age.

Flex days
In addition, we give our employees two flex days, which can be used spontaneously for private activities.

In addition to top medical services, we also offer outstanding culinary creations. Our employees can enjoy meals at preferential conditions in our own restaurant. Mineral water is offered free of charge.

The health and well-being of our employees is also important to us. That's why our employees can use our MTT (medical-therapeutic training) directly on the premises free of charge.

A limited number of covered and uncovered car parking spaces are available for a fee. With active mobility management, we aim to optimise the use of parking spaces on the one hand and motivate our employees to use public transport on the other. For example, we regularly offer "bike repair days" and enable our employees who live in the Northwestern Switzerland region or are cross-border commuters to purchase the environmental protection season ticket at the youth rate (Job Ticket).

Knowing each other personally, fostering dialogue and maintaining an open and honest information policy are important elements of our corporate culture. This is why Bethesda Hospital organises regular internal events, e.g. the garden party with relatives in the summer, staff snacks, a Christmas party, regular staff and management information and a staff outing every two years.

Unpaid leave allows employees to take a longer trip or a private project. As an employee of Bethesda Spital AG, you are entitled to take 3 months' unpaid leave in the first five years of employment and 6 months thereafter, subject to operational constraints.

We enable our staff to fulfil the tasks entrusted to them competently through coordinated induction and support them in their day-to-day work with individual support and by delegating tasks, competences and responsibilities. At least once a year, our managers take time for a constructive exchange about performance, behaviour and development with each individual employee.

Application tips

The application dossier gives us a first impression of you as a candidate. It is therefore important to compile the documents in a company- and function-specific manner.

Mission statement, mission & values

With us, you and your needs are at the centre of everything we do. What does that mean for you? Quite simply, we always recognise you as a person first and only then your individual treatment needs. We communicate as equals and inform you transparently and comprehensibly about ongoing and planned treatments. This approach runs through our entire mission statement, our mission and our values.
