For the love of nature - reusable crockery for take-away offers
Since 1 September 2021, guests and employees have been able to take their food to the park, the office or home in a reusable, high-quality alternative to plastic tableware. The restaurant at Bethesda Hospital is thus part of a nationwide network of 1,500 catering establishments that are using this ecological option to reduce plastic waste and CO2 emissions.
And this is how sustainability works with reusable crockery
- select reCIRCLE BOX and put together the menu. Please ask at the till for the lid.
- Enjoy your meal and return the reCIRCLE BOX with lid to a reCIRCLE partner or keep it and refill it again and again.
- If the reCIRCLE BOX cannot be returned on the same day, it must be washed briefly.
- A reCIRCLE BOX costs CHF 10. On return, the amount will be refunded or exchanged for a fresh reCIRCLE BOX.
The added value of reusable packaging
- The plates, bowls, cups and lids can be washed and reused hundreds of times.
- By using reusable containers, you save on plastic waste and CO2.
- There is also automatically less food waste because you can take the leftovers home in practical and hygienic packaging.
- Using reusable containers instead of disposable crockery once a week already saves 1.5 kg of plastic per year.
- The deposit of CHF 10 for plates and salad bowls and CHF 5 for coffee cups will be paid out in cash or replaced with new crockery.
- The crockery can be exchanged in all participating reCIRCLE restaurants. You can find a list of restaurants here.
