New CMO: Michael Gengenbacher returns to Bethesda Hospital

Dr Michael Gengenbacher was already Head of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at Bethesda Hospital and a member of the hospital management from 2008 to 2018. From 2018 to 2023, he joined the management of ZURZACH Care as Medical Director and Head Physician Musculoskeletal System and Internal Medicine. On 1 February 2024, he will take up his position as CMO at Bethesda Hospital, where he will be supported by his longstanding assistant Nicole Voll.

In addition to his specialist qualifications in rheumatology and internal medicine, manual medicine SAMM, interventional pain therapy SSIPM and SIS, certified medical assessor SIM and medical officer SGV, Michael Gengenbacher holds an MAS in insurance medicine from the University of Basel. He also lectures at the University of Basel and the University of Zurich and is a member of various regional and national associations, guilds and societies.
